Off the
Dome

At the heart of camp is the Jam Dome, our DIY music dome — drum kit, electric guitar and bass, keys, and vocal mics, all wired to a real sound system and open to everyone, day and night. Nightly sessions kick off around 8pm; wander in a stranger, walk out a bandmate.

Out front, the Stage runs a full PA and a DIY DJ rig — learn to spin from camp DJs, grab a time slot, or catch open mic, stand-up, and spoken word. It’s also home to our sanctioned US Air Guitar regional qualifier, produced by past San Francisco champs who take fake shredding deadly seriously: strum nothing, mean everything, move on to nationals.

For altitude, the Skyjacks — two three-story airplane staircases rebuilt into a rooftop garden and observation deck, the Sky Lounge, with the best view on the Esplanade. Tucked into the dark, cozy space below is the Pussy Liquor Lounge, our fully-stocked, fully-staffed bar, open every night — and the best way to meet people on the playa.

And when you need to come down: the Ball Pit under the big top (no lifeguard, no shame, no getting out), and the Circus Tent — a shady 40×40 of carpets, couches, and dusty explorers for daytime yoga, workshops, ninja quests, prop comedy, and whatever shtick breaks out. All ages, all day.
